A Favourite RS Skill?

What do you have as a favourite skill? Do you like to continuously bash enimies with bolts of fire in magic or do you like to connect with nature in herbolore? It is a strange question that is never really answered with a straight reply.

Players that I have asked previously in-game have always given more than one or simply replied with “I don’t really have one”. With thinking about an answer, you need to take into consideration:
- Is it the highest skill on your account?
- Have you trained/used that skill the most?
- Can you spend hours using/training the skill?
- Are you confident with the background information about the skill?
- Is it the one skill you take pride in doing?

I cant really say a favourite for myself, although if I had to choose then I would go for fishing. It is mostly the first task I do when I log into the game and really do recommend new players do to really get some easy cash, source of food and more.

Now they look like a good catch!

Now they look like a good catch!

The reason why I choose this skill as a favourite of mine is due to how I can fish on my desktop then use my laptop to write content, design images, do some coding, watch some videos or a film and other miscellaneous tasks. It is a very good source of income for cash, right now I am level 70 and currently catching & selling Lobsters, or really going for xp and harpooning Swordfish.

Along with the easy cash advantages, especially with Sharks, fishing on RuneScape is incredibly easy and simple for everyone to do. Whether it require a rod and bait, net or cage, depending on what you are catching, it is very simple.

So what is your favourite skill in RS?

Girls Playing RuneScape

Why does it have to be males that play online games? Why do females always get left out of the equation? I know some fantastic female clans who are just as dedicated as men are to their game.

Seen a female character in RuneScape? Wondered if it’s a pervert liking the sprites or a real hot female gamer behind the screen just ready to jump out at you and start striping? I know I did back in the day. I remember chatting to some people while mining in Dwarven Mines and a few were girls who were mates in real life, I found it weird at first as normally women aren’t impressed when you talk about your gaming life.

Wouldn't you like this young lady playing in your room?

Wouldn't you like this young lady playing in your room?

When you see more play as the months go by, start talking to them and finding out that some are married, have boyfriends or bat on the same field, you begin to disagree with all the articles around the web that games are for blokes. Women can start to disagree with games are for geeks, I admit that many players these days are still a bit ‘geeky’ but most of us are cool and up for a laugh!

Funny RS Gold Scam Site

Okay, so you are more than aware of these sites that sell gold, accounts, items and whatnot for real hard earned cash (if you have no idea what I’m on about, a simple search on Google for Runescape gold will put you in the right direction). This is, of course, against RuneScape rules and isn’t allowed. To top that off, they are normally scams ran by kids or young teenagers that want a little bit of cash. In fact, I believe there are some adults carrying this out for definite, although spelling and grammar on most of these websites is terribly amusing.

If you do buy services from these websites and they do hold out to their word, then good for you. If you have been taken for a mug and have lost money or have had your account banned, then unlucky. You shouldn’t try and cheat other players in a game by illegally purchasing skill training, gold or items.

Playing Alone in RS

Since getting back into RS earlier in the year after a 3 year break, my friends list always remained empty as real life friends stopped playing, other players quit or blocked me and I just wanted to build up my character over getting distracted by chat or event invitations. I have had a change of heart recently, while running under Magicrick123 (few months ago) I joined the clan Swordswingers. This was a first for me, never been apart of a RS clan fully before.

I actually enjoyed it. There was an average of around 5 people on at a time, few events including Clan Wars, which was fun.I was able to chat to them freely, have a laugh and enjoy the game. It was especially useful when exchanging help, tips and pointers in-game. They didn’t have VoIP, nor a decent website, which made me have doubts about the whole thing, especially when it is run by a young teenager with little funds. I did consider creating my own clan, Knights of Twilight. As you can see, it was hugely successful, he he I wish.

RuneScape Hard to Get Back into

Playing RueScape for days on end, leveling up so fast, you actually lie in bed a night wondering if your cat gets stoned, logs onto your account and goes mental. It can get tiring, repetitive and boring. Many players quit when this hurdle approaches, others (like myself) like to leave for a few weeks.

What happens when you want to get back into the game? It’s hard, well… is for me anyway. I haven’t logged on for a few months now I think, but so much has changed. Display names have been introduced (some bastard took Traygon and doesn’t even have one skill in the high scores – I’m left with Traygon123, I may ask JaGex if I can take it), some of my buddies have quit and everyone else has been growing levels while my character remained in the same position afraid that if he moves, I would come and suck out his soul.

Turning Great RPG Games into Online Cash Flow

Loved Warcraft? Ever roamed around smashing creatures in, thinking “ZOMG!!! This would be so awesome online with other gamers!”, they answered with World of Warcraft. This game was exceptional with one great advantage – it was the first MMORPG to take the leap and start building a strong community. Thinking the same thing while playing the likes of Fallout or Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is common, but should be left as thoughts and role playing. They are fantastic on their own, why turn the story into a mindless mob bashing frenzy?

Right, off to do some more grinding!

Right, off to do some more grinding!

Games are beginning to follow suit, or so it seems, and turn exceptional games into online gold mines. I admit, I used to be a fan as I remember the good days of RuneScape, Zu Online (beta) and Wonderland (beta). I really enjoyed the community and doors that an MMO can open up. Those times have changed since Lord of the Rings, Star Wars: The Old Republic, the rumored Fallout online game and others. They may work for some players, especially avid MMORPG gamers, but what about people like me that like to purchase a game and play it when I like, how I like and not worry about a monthly fee? We get left in the dark, that’s what.
